Overall wider template, low entry rocker and single-o-double concave design make this fishy a greedy little wave magnet. Not to mention, the three-wing, pulled-in swallow tail still allows you to surf vertically, something that not all fish surfboards have. Ride 2-4″ shorter than your standard shortboard. Like its namesake, the Piranha eats most of what you put in front of it. Magic in the knee high, weak stuff yet still highly effective in punchy head high surf, barring your occasional big wave ventures. Definitely a true all rounder fish surfboard.

5′8″ RUSTY PIRANHA fish – This board has a flatter entry rocker with a rounder outline,”wider nose, wider tail” to make up for the shorter length of the board. This board should be ridden 6″ shorter than a performance shortboard. It also has a flatter deck which makes the rails fuller for more buoyancy for a better performance in smaller, flatter waves. Stick an air, destroy a lip, or lay into a full rail gaff. The point is that this fish surfboard is extremely versatile, making this a great all around board. Optimally, it should be ridden 6″ shorter and an inch wider than your normal board and, at the very least, 3″- 4″ shorter than you are tall. Regardless of the waves, the Hog Fish surfboard is easy to ride and always fun!

An exact Replica of MR’s favorite twin fin designed originally in 1980, a classic retro Fish Surfboard. This is the board that brought MR a host of high profile victories.
